Accepting children 15 months- 5 years of age.
When a parent chooses an early care and education program, it is one of the most important decisions they will have made for their child’s future up to that point. We realize the amount of trust that goes into that decision and consider it an honor to have the opportunity to participate in the development of your child. We are committed to having a significant and positive influence on every child entrusted in our care.
Our role as an early care and education program is to continue the care that our student receives at home. Your child’s day starts at home with you and ends when you kiss them goodnight and tuck them into bed. We are here to fill the hours that you are away, with warmth and care, fun and learning.
Our programs are an extension of home for our families. Woodland Place nurtures the family, as well as the child. When children come to us, they experience the wonders of beginning school and the development of independence, while parents experience separation, and their first glimpses of their child’s academic potential.
Parents and teachers are united by the thrill of watching a child explore their surroundings, and experiment with their discoveries. Children are exhilarated by the pride of accomplishment, and the sense of self-worth they achieve as they learn and succeed.
In order for children to succeed and grow both academically and socially they must be in a place where they can be themselves; a warm, safe environment where children feel accepted and loved. That special environment is Woodland Place.
The mission at Woodland Place is to develop high achieving students by providing a rigorous, hands-on, environmentally-based educational program that fully develops a child’s intellectual curiosity, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and self-understanding. WP strives to engender respect of all people while embracing the differences of others and building an environment that values children and is devoted to demonstrating the utmost commitment to social, civic, personal, and environmental responsibility within our community and throughout the world.
